“Image would not be explained, but must be open to different interpretations to allow each one build his own path” so says Chiara Carrer, one of the most prolific and original Italian illustrator.
She has created and drown in the publishing word for more than twenty years, publishing more than one hundred books and receiving the most important European awards.
She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and engraving at the School of Ornamental Arts in Rome. Nowadays she teaches illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna and at the ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) of Urbino.
