New Shapes of Made in Italy

Exhibitions

Since 2010, Open Design Italia is an independent platform for the incubation and promotion of creativity. It organises a yearly international contest-based event that aims at networking between professionals, creatives, and companies.
The exhibition "New Shapes of Made in Italy" gathers those works that best represent the idea of preciousness, intended as manufacturing excellence and search for new, unconventional materials for each application. Other projects were selected because they represent or revisit the symbols of the Made in Italy culture.
The exhibition is an important international display for fifteen young creatives from Emilia Romagna and Italy who won important awards. It is an opportunity to showcase a type of entrepreneurship that develops around the designer who steers the production chain and strives to ensure the sustainability of the manufacturing cycle and to establish new ways of cooperation between traditional entrepreneurship and the world of design projects.
