On the occasion of the
First Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Italian Cultural Institute of Marseille presents several events:
- Conference about the first complete French edition of "La Science en cuisine et l'art de bien manger" (Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well), translated by Marguerite Pozzoli and Lise Chapuis for the publisher Actes Sud, which received the contribute to translation by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The Artusian manual is expounded by Professors Marguerite Pozzoli and Giordano Conti.
- Screening of the video “Pellegrino Artusi e l'unità italiana in cucina”.
- Opening of the homonymous exhibition “Pellegrino Artusi and the Italian unity in the kitchen”, organized by Emilia-Romagna Region Department for Culture, Casa Artusi and Municipality of Forlimpopoli.
The exhibition illustrates Pellegrino Artusi’s life and work and the genesis of his renowned “practical manual”.
