With the nickname Suz, the Bolognese singer Susanna La Polla became known in the early 90s as a backup singer of the pioneer of Italian ragamuffin Papa Ricky. In the zero years along with Ezra producer and bassist Alessio “Alessiomanna” Argenteri (both already members of the historical Italian band Casino Royale) she then landed an elegant and refined trip hop albums named “Shape of Fear and Bravery” (2009 – No .Mad Records) and “One Is a Crowd” (2013 – No.Mad Records).
She performed live in major Italian cities, opening DJ sets by pioneers of the Bristol sound like Daddy G (Massive Attack) and Roni Size and collaborated with various artists like American hip hop producer Kurt KutMasta, renowned Italian singer and actress Angela Baraldi, techno and dub duo Weight and Treble, pioneer of trip hop dj Pandaj and last but not least, the magician of turntablism TY1, writing four songs for his new album “Hardship” (2016, Universal).
In Berlin Suz presents live her latest album “Lacework” (2015, Irma Records) with White Raven on electronics.
