The Stories behind the songs of an Italian pop icon
Egle was the singer Lucio Dalla’s postman. However, even after Lucio’s death, her work hadn’t finished – mysteriously entering into the possession of a series of letters addressed to Lucio. The senders are the lead characters of some of his most adored song who have decided to put pen to paper to contact him. Fiction and documentary become one, discovering Lucio Dalla from a new point of view, that of his “children”. What has happened to people like Anna and Marco? Who is Futura? The “dear friend” who Lucio writers to, whatever happened to him?
The film follows these stories with beautiful Bologna as its backdrop, with the immortal writings of Lucio Dalla taking centre stage.
