Solo flutist Andrea Griminelli has been acclaimed by the public and critics alike for his interpretive talents and exceptional technical abilities. He was cited by The New York Times in a list of “eight emerging artists of the 90s”. Griminelli’s international debut took place at age 25 with Luciano Pavarotti, with whom he started a close connection, spanning more than 200 concerts over 14 years. Winner of many and prestigious prize, included a Grammy Award, he performed in numerous concerts and tours across Europe, Japan, South America, United States. While continuing his activities as a classical soloist, Griminelli’s work as an artist extended to collaborations with Elton John, James Taylor, Branford Marsalis, Amii Stewart, Andrea Bocelli and the legendary leader of Jethro Tull Ian Anderson. He performed in world premieres of new compositions written for flute and orchestra by such composers as Carlo Boccadoro, Fabrizio Festa, Ennio Morricone and Shigeaki Saegusa. From 2016 onwards, he is on tour performing both recital for flute and piano and concert for flute and orchestra in the main cities of the United States, South America, Italy, Europe, South-East Asia, Japan and India.
