The photographic tribute conceived for Anna Magnani revolves around Pier Paolo Pasolini's Mamma Roma, her last important interpretation (her later commitments, before the death in 1973, were linked to Alfredo Giannetti's television films) and in some way a summary of the characters of strong-willed and passionate women often fighting against an adverse destiny, of his career.
The exhibition, despite the limited number of photos on display, still manages to account for her other strong characters - in Bellissima by Luchino Visconti and The Golden Coach by Jean Renoir - and other protagonists who, beyond the success or not of the films, have increased her fame and her strong bond with the public. Because Anna Magnani, thanks to her temperament as an actress, was able to supply the weakness of certain roles.

The photos, signed by Cavicchioli, Novi, Poletto, Ronald -some of the greatest photographers in the history of Italian cinema- come from the archives of the Centro Cinema Città di Cesena. The exhibit is curated by the director Antonio Maraldi, who will attend the Festival.
