The show is inspired by an old Russian tale, passed down to us by Afanasiev in the fairy tale Vassillissa the Beautiful.
Like every fairy tale worthy of the name, it is about an initiation path that pushes a child, to have to overcome a series of trials to seek and finally find the light. The other two protagonists of the story are Baba-Yaga, a kind of witch/woman/mother, who “moves” the child to action and the doll, given to the girl by her mother, a fetish that, in the form of an “inner voice”, never leaves the child in danger and delivers her intact to her “cognitive search”.
On stage there is an actress, Baba-Jaga, and a girl “captured” from the audience who will take part on all the story of Vassillissa. The game between the two characters will therefore be different each time. The other children take part in the story from very close, around the witch’s house marked by a red circle.
The show wagers on making theatre of what seems to be a play of relationships between actor and spectator.
