Claudio Borgianni rewrites a totally new and inedited Vivaldi, giving the possibility to Vincenzo Capezzuto to pass, with extreme ease, from the singing to the dance to a small moments of acting, making sure that the audience lose the horizon of the boundaries between the various genres of the performing arts. Important contribution to this project is given by Mauro Bigonzetti, one of the leading choreographers of the international dance scene and artistc director of Teatro alla Scala Ballet Company of Milan, which fits harmoniously in this work, being able to give life to a theatrical and heavily contaminated dance.
Stabat Mater dolorosa... but who is that woman who collapses at the feet of the Cross? Who is that woman who weeps the death of his son expressing the greatest and deepest pain that a human being can try? Who is that woman staring at the sky with conscious acceptance? Who is that woman that Vivaldi tell us with feverish tension and breathtaking pauses? Perhaps that woman represent ourselves, living in the disorientation of our daily lives? Or perhaps she is just a mother who weeps for us? We live in an era of constant change, always looking for a new balance, new certainties, in a reality where everything is redraws, mixes and re-writes, in search of a conscience, an image of "ourselves" to be able to project into the future. Bring on the stage the humanity of this attempt, is the new project of Soqquadro Italiano.
