Love Poems

Dance

Under the title LOVE POEMS, MM Contemporary Dance Company presents three new choreographies, all marked by a contemporary character. Their common denominator is a strong musicality, and all of them highlight the dancers’ stylistic versatility and skill. From one piece to another, dance becomes one with music and choreographies that privilege movement but also the importance of a single gesture, join the richness of the musical composition.

Duetto inoffensivo (extract from “Rossini Cards”) by Mauro Bigonzetti
A passionate duet: there is understanding, but also disagreement between the two women on stage. From their meeting, in a continuous alternation of complicity and conflict, an exchange of energies and feelings, related to the disappointments of love, arises.

Brutal Love Poems by Thomas Noone
“I love you so much it hurts. I hope you suffer as much as I do …"
Raw and dynamic, Brutal Love Poems explores the "wild" side that we hide inside us and that we reveal only in the most intimate moments to the person we love.

Vivaldi Umane Passioni by Michele Merola
Starting from music pieces extracted from Vivaldi’s violin concertos and from suggestions from Marc Chagall’s paintings – such as The Birthday, On the City, Love on Stage – Merola has created a choreography focused on listening of inner emotions, on human passions, on the escape from everyday life to detach from the earth.
