Following an invitation by the Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis, the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto is back to dance in the Tunisian capital after eighteen years since its last performance, dating back to 2004.
Tunis hosts the final stage of In/Finito, a dance and photography project for urban, natural or historical spaces, born in Reggio Emilia in 2018 from an idea of FND director Gigi Cristoforetti, in collaboration with Fotografia Europea and in partnership with Fondazione Palazzo Magnani.
At the same time, In/Finito signifies a special look at various cities and landscapes, a reflection on the relationship between dance and photography, and an experimental path offered to young artists.
Six choreographers, all under 35, created micro-performances of 5-minute duration for single dancers. Each time they are set in either urban or natural spaces. The performances are captured by the lens of different photographers and an exhibition comes from their pictures.
After Reggio Emilia, Capri, Bologna, Milan, Athens and Paris, Tunis will represent the artistic conclusion of the In/Finito project. On this occasion, artist of Greek-Tunisian origin Marianne Catzaras will photograph the six performances set in significant places in the city, chosen by the Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis.

The performance will take place on May 26 at the Ennejma Ezzahra. Centre des Musiques Arabes et Méditerranéennes.
Moreover, on May 27 and 28, choreographer Saul Daniele Ardillo will be guest of the Digital Dance Days festival organized by the Centre Chorégraphique Tunisien for a masterclass.
