Icarus vs Muzak, the group of young instrumentalists trained within the Icarus Ensemble, is in Mexico for a five-concert tour in some of the most prestigious venues in Latin America.
The second performance is in Mexico City at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, within the 44th Foro Internacional de Música Nueva Manuel Enríquez.
The concert proposes a programme rich in sonorities, a "mix" of works by Mexican authors, such as Victor Rasgado and Juan Trigos, and Italians, such as Ivan Fedele, Adriano Guarnieri, and Paolo Perezzani. The latter will perform his new composition inspired by Beethoven's latest quartets, Es muss sein, Omaggio a Beethoven, world-premiering on the Mexican tour.
