Icarus vs Muzak, the group of young instrumentalists trained within the Icarus Ensemble, is in Mexico for a five-concert tour in some of the most prestigious venues in Latin America.
The first performance is at the International Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato, the largest cultural event on the continent, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.
With the participation of international artists, the ensemble introduces us to the works of Italian and Mexican composers such as Silvia Colasanti, Víctor Rasgado, and Paolo Perezzani. The latter will perform the premiere of his piece inspired by Beethoven's latest quartets written for the occasion, Es Muss Sein, Omaggio a Beethoven, and winner of the 2018 Global Music Award soprano Daniela D’Ingiullo will sing Variazioni Concertanti by Mexican composer Juan Trigo, who is also the director of this project.
