The Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini orchestra is the protagonist of two symphony concerts at the Dresdner Musikfestspiele, one of the most important festivals in the world, together with conductor Omer Meir Wellber – among the most admired interpreters of his generation, Music Director of the Toscanini Festival in Parma – and with two internationally renowned artists: cellist Jan Vogler (concert on June 8) and pianist Michail Pletnëv (concert on June 9).
The Toscanini is the only Italian orchestra among the fifteen international ensembles participating in the 2023 edition.
