The pièce opens with a sacred and ancient ceremonial based on the light/shadow dualism, a dreamlike, wild, primitive ritual which honours the nature of the feminine and tries to overcome the limits, blurs the outlines of the bodies, praises personal power and finally embodies the attempt to take back the masculine and fearless warrior archetype, ready to face the action, to the conquest of one's place in the world.
Experience reveals the need to reconnect, to resolve the otherness, the biological competition, towards a common goal; the resolution inevitably brings by a small death, the wind stops and so does the background - white - noise, in a simple, immediate, almost ironic, all-encompassing way.
The thin line between the sacred ritual and the dancers’ struggle is made of intimacy, love, sisterhood, femininity, meeting, care, declaration.
The final destination is always irrelevant compared to the journey to get there, even if what happens after is more important: performance is over and life begins, changed by the journey that has been undertaken.
