In every metamorphosis and profound change of a human life, death is always by the side of life, appearing as a rite of passage or as an inward revolution.
In the animal and plant kingdom the coexistence of life and death becomes even more literal:
death is often part of the fecundation process and
life swarms on decomposed carcasses. Especially among insects, seeds, and molds, death is a welcoming presence; death is an invitation to life. The cyclic regeneration of the seasons and of the fertility of the soil are not a linear journey, but a chaotic disruption of all the elements together. Spring is a time of great agitation and the terror of existing is forever blended with the sidereal joy of being.

The performance is scheduled on August 29 and 30 (7pm). One hour before the performance on August 30, the Company will lead a
tactile visit/guided tour dedicated to the stage elements of
Le Sacre du Printemps, designed for people with visual impairments but open to all. People could touch the setup, costumes, masks, props, and so on, and the dancers will introduce themselves and their characters.
Still on August 30, after the performance,
dj set by Demetrio Castellucci aka Black Fanfare: DJ DĖMĖ (10 pm, at the Festival Centre, Marijas iela 11).
The Festival also hosts Dewey Dell’s work I’ll do, I’ll do, I’ll do (August 31, 2 pm). The performance is followed by a meeting with young local artists: Artists in conversation – Art is Young.
The conversation is part of a series of ten events organised by the Embassy of Italy in Riga titled Caffè Young Italy, a project which, besides presenting Italian emerging talents in different artistic fields, aims at fostering dialogue among young Italian and Latvian creative communities.
