Behind the image of the satanic, anthropophagic, magical and violent sabbath, it is possible to glimpse the distorted echo of an ecstatic cult dominated by a mysterious night goddess connected to a ceremony for the fertility of the soil. If possession is often considered as the visitation of a divine entity among human beings, ecstasy on the contrary is a journey of celestial ascension or infernal descent of the human soul out of the body. From this concept of a body "in spirit," comes the idea of a choreography that weaves the threads of an imagined Sabbath.

After the performance, Dewy Dell will attend the meeting: Artists in conversation – Art is Young.
In conversation with local young artists Artūrs Čukurs, Beate Poikāne and Katrīna Dūka, they will discuss the expectations, the visions of the future of their generation and how they can be achieved in art.
The conversation is part of a series of ten events organised by the Embassy of Italy in Riga titled Caffè Young Italy, a project which, besides presenting Italian emerging talents in different artistic fields, aims at fostering dialogue among young Italian and Latvian creative communities.  

The Festival also hosts Dewey Dell’s work Le Sacre du Printemps (August 29-30, 7 pm).
Combined with the performance on August 30, a tactile/guided visit for people with visual impairments, a backstage tour in which you can touch the setup, the costumes, masks, props of the show and know the dancers and their characters.
Moreover, after the performance on August 30, dj set by Demetrio Castellucci aka Black Fanfare at the Festival Centre: DJ DĖMĖ (10 pm).
